Myiasis is the infestation of organs and tissues of human and animals with fly larvae. This article reports an 18 year-old man with urogenital myiasis, the passing of live Megaselia scalaris larvae in the urine, from Zanjan City, northwest of Iran. We discourse the importance of diagnosis and management of urogenital myiasis in medicine.

We describe some ultrastructure of the third-instar Megaselia scalaris (Diptera: Phoridae) using scanning electron microscopy, with the cephalic segment, anterior spiracle and posterior spiracle being emphasized. This study provides the taxonomic information of this larval species, which may be useful to differentiate from other closely-related species.

در بررسی آفات درختان نارون در شهر رشت، در اواسط اردیبهشت 1390، لاروهای زنبور مشاهده و جمعآوری شد. جهت دستیابی به حشرات کامل، لاروهای آفت در آزمایشگاه پرورش داده شدند. این زنبور توسط نگارنده آخر با نام علمی Cladius (Priophorus) rufipes Serville مورد شناسایی قرار گرفت. گونه مذکور گزارش جدیدی برای فون ایران محسوب میشود.
